Twilight Tournament

The Twilight Tournament is a free sports tournament for underprivileged & at-risk youth aged 12-18 in the Illawarra region. The sports played include basketball, hockey, Oztag and futsal, but this is more than just a
tournament! Every Saturday night, the youth are provided with transport to the site, a nutritious meal and a life skills workshop, which covers topics ranging from mental health to personal finance.

How can you help?

Bus Driver

As the title suggests, the role of the busdriver is to drive the small mini-buses that pick up the youth from thedesignated bus stops.

Bus Assistant

The bus assistant aids the bus driver by ensuring that the youth complywith the behavioural policy set out by Twilight.  This involves monitoring behaviour ofpassengers, and enforcing disciplinary action if necessary.

Meal Preparation

Meal preparation is undertaken by TheRotary Clubs of Wollongong, Corrimal, and Illawarra Sunrise, and includes cuttingup fresh fruit, setting up drink stations, collecting prepared food, andserving this to the youth.

Scoring

The role of the scorer is to record thefinal results of each sporting match, and depending on the sport, score eachpoint made during the game.  This is agood introductory role to the Tournament.

Team Manager (We Definitely Recommend This!)

The team manager roles are critical to thesmooth running of the night.  Each teammanager is responsible for a team of up to 10 youth, and are there to ensurethat each team member gets fair game time, and that the youth are where theyare supposed to be, participate within the workshop and adhere to the code of conduct.
